Polyurethane hot-melt adhesives for manufacturing cork stoppers

Reactive polyurethane hot-melt adhesive (I) with a softening point of 90-160 degrees C is used to produce cork stoppers. An Independent claim is also included for a process for fabricating cork stoppers, comprising: (a) spraying or screen-printing (I) onto the top surface of a shaped piece of cork agglomerate; (b) placing a natural cork disc on the (I)-wetted surface; and (c) optionally mechanically treating the product by grinding or cutting.
