PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for continuously coating strip are provided to lower manufacturing cost of strip and improve quality of strip by atomizing molten metal at a non-oxidizing or reducing atmosphere so that the atomized molten metal is adhered to the surface of the strip. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for continuously coating strip comprises a plating pot(10) in which a sealed space is secured, into which an atmospheric gas having certain characteristics corresponding to molten metal is supplied, and through a central part of which strip (S) passes; a molten metal supply means(30) installed inside the plating pot(10) to supply molten metal; atomization generating means(50) comprising supersonic oscillators(52) which are inserted toward transferring strip (S) from both sides of the plating pot(10) in such a way that air-tightness is maintained between the atomization generating means(50) and plating pot(10), and which atomize molten metal from the molten metal supply means(30); and an electrostatic charged electrode member(70) installed inside the plating pot in the lower side of the atomization generating means(50) to apply electrical attraction to the strip so that droplet of atomized molten metal is adhered to the strip in case of impressing of high voltage, wherein the molten metal supply means(30) comprises molten metal storage tank(32), and molten metal tank(34), the atomization generating means(50) comprise casing(54), supersonic oscillator(52), wave guide(56), and supersonic horn(58).
