PURPOSE: A blood pressure measuring method is provided to be capable of measuring a blood pressure exactly and reliably by measuring minimum and maximum blood pressures during a compression process and measuring the minimum and maximum blood pressures during a decompression process when a previous measurement operation is failed. CONSTITUTION: After setting a minimum target value of a compress bandage, an air amount of the compress bandage reaches the minimum target value by turning on a supply valve(301). Whether the air amount of the compress bandage reaches the minimum target value is judged(303). If so, the supply valve is pressed by the first value per second and blood pressure data is received from a pressure sensor(305,306). Whether the blood pressure data is the first set value is checked(307). If so, the supply valve is pressed by the second value per second to detect blood pressure data of the second value and a pressure speed is determined using the blood pressure data of the second value(308,309). An air amount of the compress bandage is pressed in the determined pressure speed and maximum blood pressure data of the pressure sensor is measured and displayed(310,311). Whether the maximum blood pressure is in the second value is checked(313). If not, a blood pressure is measured by the decompression of an up-down manner(315). If the maximum blood pressure is in the second value, whether the maximum blood pressure is over the third value is checked. If so, a blood pressure is measured by the up-down manner.
