METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING O.R.G (ONLINE ROLL GRINDING) ACCORDING TO SURFACE DEFECTS OF HOT ROLLED STRIP

PURPOSE: A method for automatically controlling O.R.G (online roll grinding) according to surface defects of hot rolled strip is provided to remove a causing factor of defects generated on the surface of roll by performing O.R.G and prevent surface defect from generating continuously by performing replacement of the roll. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of operating grade per grade marks of defects to judge whether or not to perform continuous operation, online roll grinding and roll replacement when surface defects detected by surface defect detector are generated; a step of stopping rolling operation by immediately judging whether or not the surface defects can be removed by O.R.G according to the grade; a step of performing rolling operation after performing O.R.G or roll replacement according to the grade per grade marks when the rolling operation is stopped, wherein the step of operating grade per grade marks of defects comprises the step of dividing the defects into grade marks of five steps by detecting scale and roll mark on the surface of the hot rolled strip using the surface defect detector.
