Two valves used for inflating and deflating the ground sheet are positioned diametrically opposed to each other in opposite corners. An automatically inflatable, preferably rectangular, ground sheet or cushion (10) comprises a preferably polyurethane core (11) with closed cells forming a vacuum in the core, and a surface layer (12) made from e.g. polyamide or polyester surrounding the core. A valve (13) in one corner of the ground sheet automatically inflates the core with air when it is opened, due to the vacuum inside the core. Alternatively, air can be pressed out of the closed cells manually or mechanically to deflate the mattress. A second valve (14) is provided in the diametrically opposing corner of the ground sheet. |
