The invention relates to a device in a chair (1) having an arm rest (2) supported by at least one support rod (3, 4) at the support frame (5) of said chair (1), the arm rest (2) being lockable in different vertical positions by means of a lock sleeve (6) keeping said support rod in position, the free, or lowermost, section (10) of the support rod (3, 4) exhibiting a stop member (9) which is displaceable along and lockable to said support rod (3, 4), so as to limit the upwards directed travelling distance of said arm rest (2) and to define a predetermined vertical and/or original position of the arm rest (2) which the latter can conveniently resume after having been set in other, temporary adjustment positions. |
