Goods are ordered and delivered via a method comprising the following steps : (a) setting up an Internet gateway service for a customer to send a first order command for the delivery of goods by a supplier, the first command being intercepted by a gateway system (12) that sends a second goods order command to a supplier computer in response to the first command, the gateway system placing generic delivery address information in the second command ; (b) storing information associated by the second command with the customer in an order database (124) ; (c) reception of the goods by the supplier at the generic delivery address ; (d) using the order database to establish the identity of the second command corresponding to the goods and to identify the customer ; and (e) delivering the goods to the customer.
