A cyclic amino derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof has the formula (I) R3-C(R1)(R2)H wherein R1 is optionally substituted phenyl group; R2 is an alkoxycarbonyl group or an optionally substituted aliphatic acyl group or benzoyl group; R3 is a saturated 2 to 8-membered cyclic amino group in one or more rings with the largest nitrogen containing ring having from 3-7 ring atoms; the saturated cyclic amino group is substituted by -S-X-R4 and is attached via a ring nitrogen atom thereof to the adjacent carbon atom to which the substituents R1 and R2 are attached; the saturated cyclic amino group optionally contains a further ring heteroatom of O or S and may optionally be further substituted with a group having the formula =CR5R6; R4 is a cycloalkyl group or optionally substituted phenyl group or alkyl group; X is sulphur, sulphinyl or sulphonyl and R5 and R6 are independently hydrogen, alkyl, carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, alkylcarbamoyl or dialkylcarbamoyl. The compounds are useful for treating embolism, thrombosis or arteriosclerosis.
