PURPOSE: A method for controlling a testing a general tuner is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost and improve the productivity by unifying a VHF control process and a UHF control process. CONSTITUTION: An operation test process is performed to check an operating state and an AGC function of a tuner(1). A VHF/UHF control process is performed to control each frequency tuning properties of a VHF band and a UHF band to optimum states and check a PG(2). A PIF part control is performed to control a properties of an IF between a tuner mixer to an IF output terminal(4). A total test process is performed to test the frequency properties and the electric properties between input terminals of a VHF input terminal and a UHF input terminal and a final output terminal(5). An image reception test process is performed to check the noise, the channel interference, and an operating state of an AGC function(6).
