The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for producing pharmaceutical cellulose capsules. According to the invention, the process consists in: - pre-heating the punching bars in the pre-heating section (80); - lubricating the punches in the lubricating section; - immersing the punches into the cellulose solution, in the immersion device section (86); - shaping the covered punches in the shaping section; - drying the gel in the upper dryer and the lower dryer (81); - positioning the punching bars so that the corresponding covers and bodies face one another in the platform section; - taking out the covers and the bodies in the automation system; - cutting-out the covers and the bodies in the automation system; - joining the covers and the bodies together in the pre-blocking position inside the automation system.
