A system stores professional services provider details in a provider database. Services requestors can make remote free text requests to the central processor, the requests and requestor details being stored in a requestor database. In accordance with a category into which the request is nominated by the requestor in accordance with advice from the processor, the requests are notified to appropriate providers who may respond by free text entries into the database to tender to provide services to satisfy the request.
