A tube (13') extends between the ice cube storage vessel outlet opening (12) and the movable plate (14') beneath it. At least part (31) of the tube is yieldable when a force is exerted against it. A dispensing device (3) for dosed amounts of essentially identical objects, especially ice cubes (11, 20, 41) includes an object storage vessel (10) with an outlet opening, preferably in its bottom side, beneath which is a plate that is preferably essentially horizontal and rotatable about an essentially vertical axis. The plate contains at least one space (15') for receiving an object which is transported by the plate as it is moved over a glide plate (17'), until the object is located above an opening (18') in the glide plate, causing it to drop down into e.g. a drinking glass (19') beneath this opening. A preferably essentially vertical tube extends between the vessel outlet opening and the movable plate. At least part of the tube is yieldable when a force is exerted against it.
