摘要 PURPOSE: Preparation methods of a graphite-containing composition, a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery are provided, to improve the charging capacity and the cycle characteristics of a battery in high rate charging/discharging. CONSTITUTION: The graphite-containing composition is prepared by dispersing graphite powder and a binder in a solvent to prepare paste; coating the paste onto a substrate; aligning the (002) face between graphite particles contained in the graphite powder in identical direction in a magnetic field; and removing the solvent to solidify the graphite powder by using the binder. The (002) face between graphite particles is aligned to be perpendicular to the surface of a sheet made of graphite-containing composition. Preferably the intensity of the magnetic field is 0.5 T or more.
