The tool has a first electrode (6) in the form of an axial rod over which a tubular second electrode (7) slides. The electrodes are connected by wires (24,25) to an external generator. The two electrodes are electrically isolated and slide in insulating rings (15,20). The operator presses the electrodes against the sheet and welds the first electrode to the sheet to allow bending of the sheet.
