Procedure for manufacture of semi-finished products from synthetic rubber mixtures consists of taking an initial material based on sulfur-vulcanized diene elastomers, grinding it into crumb with a mean diameter of 5-10 mm or less, distributing in a mould and subjecting to hot compression. The distribution of the crumb in the mould is carried out in such a way as to ensure a constant degree of compression. The mould is heated prior to introduction of the crumb, which can also be re-heated to 50-120 deg C before distribution. The mould is heated to 110-150 deg C, and the molding stage is carried out at a pressure of about 30-40 bars for 3-5 minutes or less.
