<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter mechanism making a slip when the total torque amount of the whole mechanism exceeds the specified level. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch system according to the invention consists in a two-way roller clutch which transmits only the torque fed in one way (i.e., from the input side) and is disengaged from a power steering mechanism when a torque is transmitted from the output side, for example, because of a stop of the current feed to a power steering motor. The clutch mechanism may be equipped with the torque limiter mechanism to make a slip when the total amount of transmitted torque exceeds the specified value. The clutch mechanism and torque limiter mechanism can favorably be used, particularly in the power steering mechanism of an automobile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
