PURPOSE: A coated magnetic recording medium is provided to realize the magnetic medium excellent in a magnetic characteristic, electronic exchange characteristic, and traveling durability. CONSTITUTION: A coated magnetic recording medium is manufactured by coating a polyester film with a magnetic paint. The magnetic paint is manufactured by adding a binder and a magnetic substance to an organic mixed solvent containing cyclohexanone and thereafter roll mixing milling, diluting, and dispersing the organic mixed solvent. The cyclohexanone content contained in the organic mixed solvent is 10 to 15 weight % of the organic mixed solvent used in the roll mixing milling process.
