PURPOSE: An automatic response processing method in a mobile communication terminal is provided to answer a call by a pre-set background music, voice or an image service when a user of a mobile terminal is not available for answering the call. CONSTITUTION: A message(voice,sound,image) according to a specific situation is set at a service node of an exchange(S21). When a call is generated by a mobile terminal(S22), it is judged whether a mobile terminal to which the call is to be destined is in a locked state(S23). If the destination mobile terminal is in the locked state, corresponding call originating information is stored(S26). The originating mobile terminal is asked as to whether to record a voice or leave a phone number(S28). If the originating mobile terminal wants to record a voice or leave a phone number, the voice or the phone number of the caller is stored(S29). When the destination mobile terminal is sensed to be in an unlocked state(S30), the destination mobile terminal is informed the caller number, a calling date, a called time, the number of call origination and the voice message of the caller are informed(S31).
