<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the adjustment of an image carrier gear preventing out of color registration by increasing the freedom for design in a driving gear trains system. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus having a 2nd image carrier gear 13 driven by a 1st image carrier gear 11 through an intermediate gear 12, the time for rotational movement for a 2nd image carrier from an exposure position to a transfer position is an integral multiple of the rotational cycle of the intermediate gear. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
