<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow constitution to be small as to an optical system for recording or reproducing. <P>SOLUTION: A beam of light emitted from a light source device 25 is separated to two beams of light on a half reflection surface 19b. Information light is produced by that one of the beams of light is passed through a space optical modulator 18, and recording reference light is produced by that another beam of light is passed through a phase space optical modulator 17. The information light and the recording reference light are synthesized by a half reflection surface 15a so that the optical axes of these lights are arranged on the same line, then, after the polarization direction is turned by a specified angle by a bisected optical rotating plate 14, an optical information recording medium 1 is irradiated from the same surface side by an objective lens 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
