<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit for display which has superior characteristics of a light emitting diode, does not generate any uneven shading of light, and can obtain uniform surface light emission with high luminance even with small power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A side wall internal surface of a form 11 and a bottom internal surface of a substrate 12 are coated with light-reflective paint 13 which has high light reflection efficiency, and a number of beads 14 which accelerates optical irregular reflection are stuck on at least the bottom internal surface of the substrate 12 as an adhesive medium; and a light emitting diode 20 has its irradiation direction opposite the bottom internal surface of the substrate 12 and is arranged apart from the bottom internal surface with lead terminals 22 extending from a light emitting element 21, translucent resin 40 is charged in the form 11 until the whole light emitting diode 20 is covered in the form 11, and light dispersing resin 50 is laminated on the top surface side of the translucent resin 40 while covering the top surface side of the form 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
