PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery equipped with a finishing tape improved so as not to leave bubbles between the surface of a spiral electrode structure and the finishing tape when wrapping the finishing tape on a wound type electrode assembly having the spiral electrode structure. SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises a wound type electrode assembly 10 obtained by winding a laminate of a positive plate, a separator and a negative plate in this order, a finishing tape 30, on the surface of which a plurality of bores 32 have been formed, and which is installed around the outer surface of the wound type electrode assembly 10, and a battery case containing the wound type electrode assembly 10 equipped with the finishing tape 30 and joined to a positive terminal 12 led from the positive plate or a negative terminal 14 led from the negative plate.
