PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication controller for an air conditioner capable of preventing the abnormal heat generation of a limiting resistor upon generation of error in wiring of a communication cable and an electric wire in a communication-failure condition. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner controlled to switch a power relay 84 ON and to switch an indoor transmitting circuit ON in the forcible operation in the communication-failure condition between an indoor communication circuit 2 and an outdoor communication circuit 5, the indoor transmitting circuit is controlled to be intermittently connected and disconnected at intervals of several seconds after the passage of a constant time, when the error in wiring where the communication circuits 2, 5 and power source circuits 82, 83 are connected by an electric wire 70 and an electric wire 81, is generated.
