PURPOSE: A method for maintaining frame synchronization between an RNC(Radio Network Controller) and an RTS(Radio Transceiver Subsystem) in a wireless communication system is provided to change a system time conversion factor as much as the frame synchronization deviates, when the frame synchronization deviates between the RNC and the RTS, thereby maintaining the frame synchronization. CONSTITUTION: A THM(Traffic Handling Module) of an RNC obtains a system time conversion factor by using information obtained through a node synchronous operation and information related to transport channel synchronization. When configuring a frame in the THM, the THM adds the system time conversion factor to a time to transmit the frame, and calculates a CFN(Connection Frame Number) of the frame. If frame synchronization between the RNC and an RTS deviates, the THM changes the factor as much as the synchronization deviates, to maintain the frame synchronization.
