<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a developing roller and a photoreceptor roller without an intermediate gear but with a single motor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a photoreceptor motor pulley 34B fixed to the rotary shaft of the common motor 37, and a developing motor gear 32. The device also has a stepped pulley 38B freely rotatably disposed with a belt 39A stretched between the photoreceptor motor pulley 34B and the pulley 38B itself. The image forming device further has a photoreceptor roller drive pulley 36B from which to the stepped pulley 38B a belt 39B is stretched, and which is connected to a photoreceptor roller 7 and rotates the photoreceptor roller 7 by the rotating force of the common motor 37 which is transmitted from the photoreceptor motor pulley 34B via the belt 39A, stepped pulley 38B and belt 39B. The image forming apparatus also has a developing- roller drive gear 33 which engages a developing-motor gear 32, is connected to a developing roller 16 and rotates the developing roller 16 with the rotating force of the common motor 37 which is transmitted from the developing-motor gear 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
