<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the temperature rise of a step-up transformer or a power transistor in a flashing device. <P>SOLUTION: This camera system is provided with a charge time measuring means for measuring time required for the charge operation of a main capacitor, a non-charge time measuring means for measuring time when a charge means is in a non-charge state, and a charge operation inhibiting means for inhibiting the charge operation of the charge means in accordance with the history of the charge time measuring means and the history of the non-charge time measuring means. Whether or not the charge is performed is decided according to the history of the charge time measuring means and the history of the non- charge time measuring means so as to accurately control the temperature rise of the step-up transformer or the power transistor in the flashing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
