<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type color liquid crystal display element wherein it can be prevented from showing a red color having a weakly red and yellowish tone and a red color having a strongly red and brilliant tone can be shown and which is provided with a cholesteric liquid crystal color filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the reflection type color liquid crystal display element provided with the cholesteric liquid crystal color filter, the cholesteric liquid crystal color filter has a red color reflection area, a green color reflection area and a blue color reflection area and pixels in the red color reflection area consist of red color pixels and blue color pixels. The pixels in the red color reflection area preferably consist of 95 to 70 vol.% red color pixels and 5 to 30 vol.% blue color pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
