<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detection malfunction caused by the change in microwave electric field when microwave propagates through a curved part with a simple structure, in an object detection device wherein a microwave transmitter/receiver and an antenna are connected by a waveguide having the curved parts. <P>SOLUTION: In this object detection device using microwave, the microwave transmitter/receiver 10 and the antenna 30 are connected by a circular waveguide 20 having the curved parts A. A polarization corrector 100 is inserted between the microwave transmitter/receiver 10 and the circular waveguide 20. Adjusting an angle with the direction of a linearly polarized microwave when the polarization corrector 100 and a microwave oscillator 11 are stimulated, the microwave is propagated as an elliptic wave by the circular waveguide 20, and radiated as a circularly polarized microwave from the antenna 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
