PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery which can surely break a current and relax the internal pressure when inner pressure of the battery is increased. SOLUTION: A safety valve 5 having a safety valve protrusion part 9 at its center is connected to an electricity generating element 1 by a disc 23 arranged between the safety valve 5 and the electricity generating element 1 through a welded part. Internal pressure is released and current is cut by the exfoliation of the welded part due to the deformation of the safety valve 5 caused by the increase of internal pressure.
