PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery such as a lithium ion secondary battery hardly generating disorder at a hole closing plug of a liquid injection hole arranged to a battery container. SOLUTION: The hole closing plug 1 has a deformed diameter part 1a of which, an outer diameter become smaller in proportion as it get near an end surface on one side in axial direction, and the gradient diameter part 1a is inserted into the liquid injection hole 2a and contacts with a battery container in a state of closing the liquid injection hole. The liquid injection hole 2a is closed by using the hole closing plug 1 of which, the outer peripheral surface of the deformed diameter part 1a is curved outward the axial direction in an axial directional cross section view.
