PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer device capable of efficiently inhibiting transfer of packets relating to illegal access. SOLUTION: In the packet transfer device 11, as for a reception packet judged as the packet relating to the illegal access by a packet data analysis part 111, connection identification information of the reception packet is registered in an illegal connection table 112 as an analyzed result of the packet data analysis. Then, thereafter, the reception packet having the same connection identification information as the connection identification information is abandoned without performing analysis by the packet data analysis part 111. Thus, even when many retransmission packets relating to the illegal access are transmitted, the transfer of the packets relating to the illegal access is inhibited without inviting performance decline of the packet transfer.
