LIQUID PORT STOPPER FOR LEAD-ACID STORAGE BATTERY, AND LEAD-ACID STORAGE BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid port stopper mounted to a lid part of a lead-acid battery used for an automobile, having excellent overflow resistant property against severe vertical and lateral vibrations. SOLUTION: The liquid port stopper comprises a plurality of vertical splash protection plates and lateral splash protection plates located at lower part and upper part in the cylindrical part of the liquid port stopper respectively, and a slit located at the side part of the cylindrical part of the liquid port stopper. Respective vertical splash protection plates have a bottom plate slanted upwards. The lateral splash protection plates have a prescribed ascending angle against the outer periphery of the liquid port stopper, and alternately arranged at the position opposing to each other in the direction of center axis of the liquid port stopper.
