FIBER OPTIC PRESSURE SENSOR

PURPOSE: A fiber optic pressure sensor is provided to improve a precision degree when measuring pressure by allowing length of optical fiber, to which light is applied, to sensitively react with pressure. CONSTITUTION: A fiber optic pressure sensor includes an internal elastic member(33) having a cylindrical shape. A saw-tooth section is formed at an outer portion of the internal elastic member(33). Reference optical fiber(31) is inserted into a first empty space(35) of the internal elastic member(33). An external elastic member(34) surrounds the saw-tooth section of the internal elastic member(33) in such a manner that a second empty space is formed. Pressure measuring optical fiber(32) is wound around the external elastic member(34). An optical fiber protective layer is provided to protect the pressure measuring optical fiber(32).
