PURPOSE: A duplex system of a fast ethernet path is provided to change a path using a buffer between a transmission unit and a transformer in the case that an error occurs on a path when a data frame is inputted or output between boards through a fast ethernet. CONSTITUTION: When a data frame is transmitted between boards through a fast ethernet, control units(31,41) control the boards, receive an error signal from network units(32,42), and output a path selection signal to buffers(34,44). The network units(32,42) check the control signal and a damaged frame, output an error signal to the control units(31,41), make an error frame as completed data, and supply an interface for an application program. Transmission units(33,43) convert the frame received in the network units(32,42) into a signal of a bit unit and transmit the converted signal to a transmission medium. The buffers(34,44) transmit data transmitted from the control units(31,41) in accordance with the path selection signal in the transmission units(33,43) through a corresponding transmission path. Transformers(35A,35B,45A) transform data in the buffers(34,44) into a signal voltage adapted for transmitting to the transmission medium.
