PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element with which end face luminescence intensity can be improved. SOLUTION: The light-emitting element is equipped with a reflective film positive electrode 2 formed on a glass substrate 1, a light-emitting layer 4 arranged at a position corresponding with a node 40a of a standing wave 40 defined by an emission wavelength and a negative electrode 6 serving as a reflective layer formed on the light-emitting layer 4.
