PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electric parts wherein a contact part of a contact pin can be retreated surely from a contact position with the electric parts terminal even if a moving force of a moving plate is small, and wherein downsizing of an IC socket outer diameter can be aimed at. SOLUTION: In 'the socket for the electric parts' wherein the contact pin 14 is arranged and installed at the socket main body 13, wherein the contact pin 14 is contacted with the electrode pad which is 'a terminal' of the IC package 12 being 'the electric parts' housed in the socket main body 13 and electrically connected, and wherein the contact pin 14 is pressurized by the moving plate 16 thereby elastically deformed to be connected and disconnected with the electrode pad, a slanted part 14d is installed at the contact pin 14, and a contact part 14f installed at the more tip side than that of the slanted part 14d of the contact pin 14 is made to be displaced downward by pressurizing the slanted part 14d by the moving plate 16.
