PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube capable of preventing color drift by using a corner suspension method for supporting a color selection electrode structure even if an iron material is used for a color selection electrode and by reducing positional displacement of an open hole while the cathode-ray tube is operating. SOLUTION: The color selection electrode 26 is connected to a support body 11 in a manner that a tensile force is applied in a vertical direction of a screen and also a tensile force is applied in a horizontal direction of the screen by tensile force application means 27 and 28. The color selection electrode structure is supported by an envelope by engaging a spring 14 arranged at a corner part and a pin arranged at the envelope. The material of the color selection electrode 26 is iron, the material of the support body 11 is high-tensile steel, and the material of an elastic member 12 is 410S/S. Hence, outward displacement of the open hole 17 by thermal expansion can be restrained and the weight is reduced by using the high-tensile steel for the support body 11 and thus the color selection electrode structure can be supported at the corner part.
