PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-diameter coaxial cable having excellent and stable electrical characteristics and enhanced tensility. SOLUTION: This small-diameter coaxial cable 10 is provided with a center conductor 12, an insulating coating layer 14, an external conductor layer 16, and a protective layer 18. The center conductor 12 is formed by a small- diameter copper wire having a circular cross section, and is disposed in the center of the cross section of the coaxial cable 10. The insulating coating layer 14 is coatedly formed so as to closely cover the outer periphery of the center conductor 12, and is provided with more than one reinforcing fibers 14a longitudinally added along the longitudinal direction of the center conductor 12 and a resin matrix 14b to integrally bind the reinforcing fibers 14a. The external conductor layer 16 is coatedly formed on the outer peripheral surface of the insulating coating layer 14, and the protective layer 18 is coatedly formed on the outer periphery of the external conductor layer 16. Complex fiber having the reinforcing fiber 14a as a component with a high melting point and the resin matrix 14b as a component with a low melting point can be used for the reinforcing fiber 14a and the resin matrix 14b.
