PURPOSE: A particle removing apparatus is provided to remove impurities attached to a surface of a paper and to control an operation of a paper winder by detecting a breakage of the paper. CONSTITUTION: A coiler includes a paper winder(4) for winding a paper(3). The paper winder(4) is rotated by means of a first motor(1) so as to release the paper(3) from a mandrel(2) and wind the paper(3) therearound. Thus, a strip(5) without the paper(3) is introduced into a grinding device. A particle removing apparatus is installed between the mandrel(2) and the paper winder(4) so as to remove impurities from a surface of the paper(3) before the paper(3) is wound around the paper winder(4), thereby improving quality of reproduced paper. The particle removing apparatus includes a primary impurity removing section(10) for removing impurities from an underside of the paper(3), a secondary impurity removing section(20) for reducing static electricity, a third impurity removing section(30) for removing impurities from an upper surface of the paper(3), and a control section(40).
