PURPOSE: A device for breaking skull adhered to wall of electric furnace is provided to remove and separate skull stuck to the inner surface of cooling water panel by rotating each cooling water panel installed in the upper part of the electric furnace to the inner side in a certain angle. CONSTITUTION: In an electric furnace comprising a lower furnace body(11) in which bricks are constructed, cooling water panels(12) installed on the upper part of the furnace body, and a cover covered on the cooling water panels, the device is characterized in that the lower part of the respective cooling water panels is rotationally connected to the upper part of the body of the electric furnace by hinge, a rotation means is connected to the rear surface of the cooling water panels in the upper part of the body of the furnace so that the rotation means rotates the cooling water panels to the inner side, and the rotation means comprises a guide post(20) vertically installed at an upper flange(13) of the furnace body, an operating member(21) slidingly inserted into the guide post, an elastic spring elastically installed between the inner lower part of the guide post and the lower part of the operating member to impress elastic force to the operating member, a push plate(23) perpendicularly adhered to the outer surface of the cooling water panels and inclined to the outside toward the lower part, a pressing roll(25) rotationally installed at an end of supporting bracket(24) fixed to the operating member through slit formed on the inner surface of the guide post and closely adhered to the upper outer surface of the push plate to push the push plate, and a return means for turning back the cooling water panels rotated to the inner side to an original position thereof.
