PURPOSE: A BLDC motor driving apparatus is provided to achieve improved performance of snubber without causing a degradation of efficiency, while reducing manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A BLDC motor driving apparatus comprises a motor power supply unit(130) for generating voltages suitable for driving a BLDC motor; an inverter unit(140) for inverting the voltage output from the motor power supply unit into square wave for driving the BLDC motor through a switching operation; a control unit(160) for controlling the switching operation of the inverter unit; a control unit power supply unit(150) for supplying voltages to the control unit; and a snubber unit(200) constituted by a Zener diode, a rectifier diode and a capacitor, and which protects a circuit from the surge voltage generated by the switching operation of the inverter unit. The Zener diode has a cathode connected to an input terminal of a switch(141) of the inverter unit, and the rectifier diode has an anode connected to the anode of the Zener diode. The capacitor constitutes a smoothing circuit of the motor power supply unit or the control unit power supply unit.
