<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide LAN optical transmission system and method capable of transmitting data of a large capacity by converting a clock 100 MHz, performing long distance transmission and simultaneously transmitting a plurality of channels since conversion is performed from serial to parallel and the data are transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: A TX part is composed of a clock conversion part for multiplying the clock by 1/N, a serial/parallel conversion part for converting data signals from serial to parallel, a transmission side D-latch part for synchronously controlling the data by the clock, a modulation part for modulating converted parallel signals and a VCSEL part for converting them to optical signals and transmitting them. Also, an RX part is composed of a PD part provided with a photodetector for receiving the optical signals, a demodulation part for demodulating the signals, a PLL part for outputting an N-fold frequency which is an optional multiple of a transmitted clock frequency, a reception side D-latch part for synchronizing the data and a parallel/serial conversion part for converting the parallel signals to serial signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
