PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose article takeout device capable of easily changing an article to be taken out only by replacing an article housing case itself, and sufficiently responding to a difference in size of the article to be taken out. SOLUTION: The article housing case 5 is drawably provided on the upper part of a device body 3. A rotary disc 35 having housing holes 39 for housing articles such as capsules one by one provided on the circumference is rotatably provided on the bottom wall 21 of the article housing case 5, and a falling port 43 opposed to one of the housing holes 39 is formed thereon. The device body 3 comprises a falling passage 49 allowing the falling port 43 to communicate with an article takeout port 51. The device body 3 further comprises an opening and closing member 53 for narrowing the falling port 43, and an operation lever 73 for operating the opening and closing member 53 provided on a front wall 7.
