PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil bobbin which can cope flexibly with specification change and meets reduction in a manufacturing cost and recycle utilization, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The coil bobbin is composed of a cylindrical drum (31a) which is formed of an insulating sheet material and a flange (31b) which is constituted by arranging small pieces (31c) composed of member of insulating sheet materials separated by slits (40a) pointing outward from the brim of an opening, spreading over the whole circumference of the opening brims at both ends of the drum. Moreover, for the manufacturing method, the insulating sheet (4) made in the shape of a rectangular band is made into a cylindrical form by fastening short sides (41) facing the insulating sheet material after forming, sideways at specified intervals, a member of slits which are cut each is facing directions from opposed long sides (40), leaving a specified width of center in its longitudinal direction, and also it is made by bending each small piece separated from each other by each slit, in the outward direction of the cylinder.
