PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method connected to a communication line and providing network connection of data processing terminals. SOLUTION: The device connected to the communication line and providing the network connection of the data processing terminals is provided with an Ethernet (R) interface providing the connection with a first data processing terminal, a USB interface providing the connection with a second data processing terminal, a line interface providing the connection with the communication line and a control part determining the interface corresponding to the destination of a received packet by referring to a destination address of the packet received from one of the respective interfaces and transmitting the received packet to at least one of the respective interfaces.
