PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of suppressing the degradation of power supply performance to a load even when a first power source or a second power source can not achieve a target output. SOLUTION: This power supply unit for selecting the target outputs of a first power source and a second power source for supplying a power to a load, and for making the target output of the first power source different from the target output of the second power source is provided with a first function judging means (a step S303 and a step S306) for judging whether or not it is possible for at least either the first power source or the second power source to achieve the target output and a first power source control means (a step S303 and a step S305) for judging whether or not the output of a preliminary power source other than the first power source or the second power source should approach the target output of the power source which is judged to be unable to achieve the target output based on the judgement result of the first function judging means (the step S303 and a step S305).
