PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a silver halide emulsion spectrally sensitized and having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the silver halide photographic emulsion containing silver halide particles having layers of sensitizing dyes adsorbed to the surfaces of the silver halide particles, after one kind or a plurality of kinds of sensitizing dyes are added to the silver halide photographic emulsion, the adsorption strength of at least one kind of the sensitizing dye in the added sensitizing dyes to the silver halide particles is caused to change.
