<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newspaper producing system and its method capable of preventing or reducing error in selecting format by automatically selecting the format of a page space on the basis of user's log-in name. <P>SOLUTION: This newspaper producing system is provided with an article server for accumulating the article text data from an article inputting/ proofreading terminal performing the inputting and proofreading operation of the article text data, an image inputting/processing terminal for inputting and processing the image data, an image server for accumulating the image data from the image inputting/processing terminal, a composition terminal 40 performing the layout processing of the article text data and the image data respectively accumulated in the article server and the image server, and a composition/edition server 70 for accumulating the page space data composing the page space produce by the layout processing of the composition terminal to a page space data file. Further the system is provided with an automatic form selecting means for automatically selecting the form relating to characters, the layout and the like used on the page space in accordance with the inputted log-in name. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
