IMAGE ENCODING METHOD AND IMAGE DECODING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoding device and an image decoding device which generates an encoded data by selectively using an inter-pixel filter according to variety of situations.

SOLUTION: An image encoding device 300 generates an encoded image data by encoding difference between an image data Img representing an inputted image and a predicted image data Pred representing a predicted image for the inputted image. The device comprises an image decoding part 104 that decodes the image data Img after encoding, inter-pixel filters A303 and B304 that performs inter-pixel filter calculation for a decoded image data Recon acquired by the image decoding part 104, switches 301 and 302 that select one out of the inter-pixel filters, and an inter-picture prediction part 108 that generates the predicted image data Pred for the inputted image data Img by using a filtered decoded image data FilteredImg1 acquired with the selected inter-pixel filter as a reference image data Ref.
