<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode array where a light emitting output is high and the area of a light emitting part can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate 11 constituted of a semiconductor layer is provided with a light emitting layer 13 constituted of a semiconductor emitting light by the application of a current, a current narrowing layer 19 which has opening parts 19a and is constituted of the transparent semiconductor, an opaque semiconductor layer 15 which is constituted of an opaque semiconductor, in which opening parts 15a for transmitting light emitted from the light emitting layer 13 to an outer part are overlapped with the opening parts 19a of the current and are formed to be larger and a current application layer 16 which is constituted of a translucent semiconductor, is formed to cover areas facing the opening parts 15a and 19a and directly applies a current whose transmission is blocked in the current narrowing layer 19 to a lower layer from the area facing the opening parts 19a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
